What kinds of things can I get support with?
We can support you with building confidence, starting conversations, understanding social cues, asking someone on a date, setting healthy boundaries, navigating online dating apps, and preparing for in-person dates.
Can I access Dating on the Spectrum services without an NDIS package?
Yes! We want to make dating support available to all individuals on the spectrum. Our services can be accessed without an NDIS package, simply get in touch with us to explore what your support needs are and how we can assist you on your dating journey.
Can I access support online?
Dating on the Spectrum offers flexible support options to suit individual needs and preferences. For one-on-one support, we provide both in-person and online video sessions making it easy to access guidance no matter where you're located or what your comfort level is. These private sessions are tailored to support your personal goals around dating, social connection, and relationships.
Please note that all group workshops are delivered in person, to create a more engaging and interactive environment where participants can connect face-to-face, build social skills in real time, and benefit from group-based learning.
If you're not sure which support option is right for you, we're here to help you find the best fit based on your needs.
Do you help with making friendships too, or just dating?
While we are a dating focused support service, we understand that not all dates end in a romantic relationship and all the skills we teach in our sessions can be applicable to friendships too!
Can I bring a support person with me to sessions or workshops?
Yes, if that helps you feel more comfortable. Just let us know in advance so we can accommodate both of you.
